Boise State Day at the Legislature Set for Wednesday

Boise State Day at the Legislature, scheduled from 8 a.m.-noon Wednesday, will highlight cutting-edge and, in some cases, nationally recognized research by the university’s undergraduate and graduate students and professors. The event will be held on the fourth-floor rotunda of the State Capitol. President Bob Kustra and the university vice presidents and deans are scheduled to attend the morning event.

The purpose of the event is to demonstrate to Idaho’s lawmakers the impact Boise State has on the state’s economic development and quality of life. Many of the research projects, across a wide range of disciplines, explore issues pertinent to Idaho’s people, environment and economy.

Also at Boise State Day at the Legislature, students from the College of Health Sciences will offer free blood pressure screening for legislators.

For more information, contact Renee White of the Alumni Association at ext. 6-1831.
