Boise State Library Receives Pete Cenarrusa Papers

A reception at Boise State University Thursday afternoon honored former Idaho Secretary of State Pete Cenarrusa, who gifted his extensive papers to the university’s Albertsons Library. Cenarrusa’s 52 years of uninterrupted public service to Idaho, beginning with his election to the Idaho House of Representatives in 1950, is a record for the state.

Boise State’s Popular ‘Beat Pete’ Race Garners Award

Boise State University’s popular Beat Coach Pete Scholarship Run received the 2009 Innovative Program Award from the Western Region of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). Lisa Stuppy, associate director for Campus Recreation and race director, accepted the award at the association’s annual meeting in San Jose, Calif.

Annual REACH Health Fair is Nov. 18 at Boise State

A variety of exhibits aimed at helping improve health and wellness will be available at the 13th annual Boise State University REACH Health Fair. The fair is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the Jordan Ballroom on the second floor of the Student Union Building. Admission is free and free parking is available in the garage at the corner of University and Lincoln.

Meet Law School Representatives at Boise State’s Law School Fair on Nov. 18

Representatives from more than 35 law schools will be available to meet with students, alumni and community members at the Boise Law School Fair from 2-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the Boise State University Student Union Simplot Ballroom. The fair is free and open to the public.

Boise State’s Tunnel of Oppression to Raise Awareness of Discrimination Nov. 6-7

The Tunnel of Oppression, a visual, theatrical and interactive production, will return to Boise State University for its fifth year from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Nov. 6 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Student Union Hatch Ballroom. Admission is free and open to the public and tours will begin every 30 minutes, with a break at noon. To register for a specific time, visit http://culturalcenter.boisestate.edu/tunnel/. This year’s theme is “Unlearning.”
