Find Out Where to Park for Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at Boise State Dec. 15

Parking on the Boise State campus will be restricted on Saturday, Dec. 15, due to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and campus events. The Utah State Aggies return to the bowl game for a second straight year, this time taking on the Toledo Rockets. The game kicks off at 2:30 p.m. in Bronco Stadium.

Other events scheduled on campus that day include:
Boise Philharmonic: Handel’s “Messiah” — 8 p.m. Morrison Center
Power Up – Student Union Building
Idaho Regional Ballet: “The Nutcracker”  — 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Special Events Center

STREET CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS

Grant Avenue Street Closure
To provide a staging area for game day operations, Grant Avenue between Belmont Street and University Drive will be closed from 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, through the end of the game. The closure will include the entire block. Violators will be cited and/or towed, at owner’s expense, to the Lincoln Hall dirt lot.

University Drive
Parking on University Drive is prohibited from 2-5 a.m. Violators are subject to citation and vehicles may be towed, at owner’s expense, to the Lincoln Hall dirt lot.

FREE PARKING IN EXCHANGE FOR DONATION TO IDAHO FOODBANK

Parking facilities closest to Bronco Stadium honoring free parking in exchange for donations of non-perishable food and toiletry items include the following. A donation of five items, or about $10 dollars in value, is suggested in exchange for parking.

  • Lincoln Avenue Garage (1607 University Drive)
  • Norco Lot (W. Beacon Street and S. Vermont Avenue)
  • Administration Visitor Lot (University Drive and Joyce Street)
  • Engineering & Tech Lot (Euclid Avenue and University Drive – accessible parking only)

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

Restrictions
There will be a $20 per space fee for the stadium lots for all accessible game day parking. Boise State accessible permit holders will be able to utilize available, game day, designated accessible parking spaces at no charge with their valid Boise State accessible permit properly displayed. Vehicles must also display an ADA license plate or placard and the owner of the plate or placard must be in the vehicle in order to purchase a Boise State accessible parking permit. No in-and-out privileges; vacated parking spaces will be resold.

Stadium Lots
Reserved and general parking spaces in the Stadium lots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, for a $20 per space fee or at no charge to Boise State accessible permit holders displaying a valid permit. Accessible parking spaces in the Stadium lots are designated by numbers; vehicles must park in the correct numbered space as shown on the permit issued by event staff at the entrance to the lot. No in-and-out privileges; vacated parking spaces will be resold.

ET Reserved Lot
Parking spaces are available in the ET reserved lot on a first-come, first-served basis, for a $10 per space fee, or at no charge to Boise State accessible permit holders displaying a valid permit. Vehicles also must display an ADA license plate or placard and the owner of the plate or placard must be in the vehicle in order to purchase a Boise State accessible parking permit. No in-and-out privileges; vacated parking spaces will be resold. An accessible-equipped Boise State shuttle will provide transportation to and from the game from 12:30 p.m. until kickoff and again until one hour after the game.

Lincoln Avenue Garage
Parking spaces are available in the Lincoln Avenue Garage on a first-come, first-served basis, for a $10 per space fee, or at no charge to Boise State accessible permit holders displaying a valid permit. The ground floor will be reserved for accessible parking patrons. An accessible-equipped Boise State shuttle will provide transportation to and from the game from 12:30 p.m. until kickoff and again until one hour after the game.

ON-CAMPUS PARKING DETAILS: LOTS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AT 8 A.M.

Administration Visitor Lot and Norco Lot
Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, for a $10 per space fee.
An accessible-equipped Boise State shuttle will provide transportation to and from the game from 12:30 p.m. until kickoff and again until one hour after the game.

Lincoln Avenue Garage, 1607 University
Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first served basis, for a $10 per space fee.
The entrance to the garage is located off of Belmont Street between Lincoln Avenue and Michigan Avenue. An accessible-equipped Boise State shuttle will provide transportation to and from the game from 12:30 p.m. until kickoff and again until one hour after the game.

Liberal Arts and Library Lots
Access to this lot is restricted due to other scheduled events on campus. Limited parking availability is for reserved, LA and Library reserved permit holders only.

RELOCATED VEHICLES ON CAMPUS
Vehicles parked in a manner that is deemed to be unsafe or cited for violations (i.e. not displaying a proper permit, parking in an incorrect location, or abandoned vehicles) will be towed, at owner’s expense, to the Lincoln Hall-dirt lot on the west side of Lincoln Avenue, between University Drive and Belmont Street.

OFF-CAMPUS PARKING DETAILS

Downtown Public Garages, $5
Boise State Transportation & Parking Services encourages the public to park in downtown garages and ride the Boise State Bronco Shuttle to the game. The cost is $5 per vehicle.

RESIDENTIAL STREET PARKING

Boise State discourages parking on residential streets. For those who choose to park on residential streets, please remember:

•    Vehicles are not allowed to park along portions of University Drive from 2-5 a.m.
•    Vehicles may not park for longer than 24 hours
•    Vehicles are prohibited from parking within 30 feet or less of stop signs
•    Vehicles are prohibited from parking within 20 feet or less of an intersection
•    Vehicles may not park in alleyways, driveways or vacant yards
•    Vehicles must park within 18 inches of the curb

JULIA DAVIS PARK
