The Office of Communications and Marketing supports the greater aspirations of a metropolitan research university of distinction through an interdisciplinary, campus-wide effort. Its mission is to build, enhance and protect the university's image through strategic communications and marketing initiatives that reach internal and external audiences. The five primary functional areas are: media relations, marketing/ advertising, photography, Web site and publications.

The Communications and Marketing Office is located in Capitol Village, at the intersection of Capitol Boulevard and University Drive. Staff members are assigned colleges, departments and units on a beat system.
