Students from across the Northwest participate each year in instrumental clinics and jazz band adjudications on campus. Guest artists and highly qualified jazz educators work with the students over two days, helping them learn about the art of jazz improvisation and the skills needed for their instruments. Featured artists this year include trumpeter Lou Soloff, pianist Andy Nevala, drummer Matt Jorgensen, and trumpeter Ryan Nielsen. Tickets are $15 general, $5 students.

Jazz in June: June 19-21 at various locations. Tickets are $30 general, $10 students for Club Night; and $25-$80, $15 students for the Roy Haynes concert.
- Club Night: 5:30-late, June 19, downtown Boise. Featuring a lineup of local and national musicians playing at the Reef, the Rose Room, the Big Easy Concert House, the Gamekeeper Lounge, TableRock Brew Pub, the Balcony and the Egyptian Theatre. Legendary drummer began his professional career in 1945, and his career has included appearances with Lester Young, Charlie Parker, Bud Powell, Sarah Vaughan, John Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and many others.
