Boise State Japan Club Hosts Third Annual Japan Festival
Boise State University’s Japan Club will present the third annual Japan
Festival March 3-7 on campus and at various community locations. The
weeklong event includes activities ranging from lectures and workshops to
performances and demonstrations, as well as a business seminar luncheon
hosted by the Idaho Department of Commerce. The seminar is $40; all other
events are free.
The schedule of events is as follows:
March 3
Student Union Hatch D Ballroom
1-2 p.m. — Ikebana and Japanese flower arranging demonstration by Mariko
Ueda
2-3 p.m. — Bonsai demonstration by Bill White, Boise Bonsai Society
3-4 p.m. — “Japanese Politics Today,” lecture by BSU professor Ross Burkhart
March 4
Courtyard Marriott, 222 Broadway Ave.
11 a.m.-1 p.m. — Japanese business seminar luncheon, “Asia’s Largest
Economy: Opportunities in Japan.” Register at
