Research-based. Submissions in this category should be a research-based, documented article or essay in any genre or any topic. Essays can be up to 3,000 words.

First Year Writing. Any student who is currently enrolled in English 90, 101 or 102 or who was enrolled in fall 2007 may submit an essay of any kind on this topic. Essays can be up to 2,000 words.
