Bob Edwards to Speak at Boise State, CSI
Former ‘Morning Edition” Host to Share Behind-the-Scenes Tales



Boise State Radio presents Bob Edwards in two live performances Feb. 22 and 23. Performances are in Twin Falls from noon-1:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Fine Arts Center on the College of Southern Idaho campus and in Boise from 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Special Events Center on the Boise State University campus. Edwards, the former host of “Morning Edition,” has been waking listeners up for more than 30 years. He has conducted more than 25,000 interviews with guests ranging from celebrities to politicians and authors. In this 90-minute presentation, he will share behind-the-scenes tales from a life of broadcasting and answer audience questions.

Edwards is among the most distinguished journalists in broadcasting and has won the duPont-Columbia Award for radio journalism. In 1999, he and "Morning Edition" received a prestigious Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting. Edwards also received the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for outstanding contributions to public radio. In 2004, he left NPR to work as a host for XM Satellite Radio and continues to host “Bob Edwards Weekend” for public radio, which features in-depth conversation, performance and the occasional documentary with fascinating entertainers, newsmakers, writers and regular folks with a story to tell.
