Boise State University's MFA Reading Series Announces Spring
Schedule
The Boise State University MFA Reading Series will bring poets to campus for
readings that will be free and open to the public. Authors include:
• Paige Ackerson-Kiely, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6, Liberal Arts Building Room 106.
Ackerson-Kiely was the winner of the 2006 Sawtooth Poetry Prize, which is
granted by Boise State’s Ahsahta Press.
• Maxine Chernoff and Paul Hoover, 7:30 p.m. March 6, Student Union Bishop
Barnwell Room.
• Lyn Hejinian, 7:30 p.m. March 20, Student Union Lookout Room.
• Keston Sutherland and J.H. Prynne, 7:30 p.m. April 10, Student Union
Bishop Barnwell Room.
• Rusty Morrison, 7:30 p.m. April 24, Student Union Jordan Ballroom B.
Morrison is the 2007 winner of the Sawtooth Poetry Prize.
Free and open to the public, the MFA Reading Series brings nationally
renowned authors and poets to the Boise State campus. Past speakers include
Rick Bass, Chris Offutt, Rae Armantrout, Alice Notley, Michael Palmer, Joy
Williams, Anthony Doerr, Denis Johnson, Richard Bausch and Nathaniel Mackey.
