Delta Epsilon Chi at Boise State Announces 2008 State Career Development Conference Winners

Three Selland College students won awards at the Idaho Delta Epsilon Chi State Career Development Conference Feb. 21-23 in Lewiston and will compete at the International DEC Career Conference in Atlanta, Ga., April 12-15.

The students are studying marketing management technology and are members of the Delta Epsilon Chi chapter at Boise State University. They are:

— Tracey Smith – first place, Travel & Tourism, and first place, marketing management

— Jace Whitaker – first place, Restaurant & Food Service Management

— Robin Dunn – National Management Institute

The students competed against DEC members from Idaho State University, College of Southern Idaho, Eastern Idaho Technical College and Lewis-Clark State College. They will be studying for national competition and raising the funds needed to travel until it is time to compete in Atlanta.

Delta Epsilon Chi (ΔEX) is an international organization for college students that prepares them for a variety of careers. The organization programs engage students from a variety of educational disciplines, while maintaining a strong focus on business-related areas such as marketing, management and entrepreneurship. Activities promoted by Delta Epsilon Chi integrate with and enhance the student’s college curriculum.
