News Release August 4, 2008 Media Advisory Who: Boise State University President Bob Kustra What: Comments on Warren McCain’s death Saturday Boise State University’s McCain Collection for Western Life in the Albertsons Library was established in 1993 and was made possible through a generous endowment provided by Warren E. and Bernie McCain and the contributions of hundreds of individual donors. Augmenting the library’s holdings on the Western United States, the McCain Collection contains books, journals, microforms and other media documenting the Western United States, especially its history, literature, anthropology, geography, politics, economics and cultural life. Boise State University President Bob Kustra made the following comments today upon hearing of Warren McCain’s death on Saturday: “Warren McCain’s contributions to Idaho and his generosity to Boise State University ensure his name will be spoken reverently on our campus for many years to come. By leading one of Idaho's iconic companies onto the world stage, his legacy of vision and drive will provide an excellent example of Idaho’s can-do spirit for Boise State students for generations.
