Boise State University's Homecoming Parade Changes Route,
Will Now Go Through Campus
Boise State University’s annual Homecoming Parade is taking a turn through
campus this year, traveling on University Drive instead of Broadway Avenue.
This year’s parade will be from 2-3 p.m. Sept. 13 and will begin at
University Drive near Towers Hall and end on Denver Avenue.
University Drive will be closed beginning at 1:45 p.m. and will re-open at 3
p.m. All vehicles traveling down Capitol Boulevard or Broadway Avenue will
be redirected to Boise Avenue beginning at 1:30 p.m. No traffic will be
allowed onto University Drive after 1:45 p.m.
Parade-goers traveling to the Boise State campus between 1:45-3 p.m. will
find general parking in the garage on the corner of University Drive and
Lincoln Avenue. The garage may be accessed through Beacon Street via
Broadway or Boise avenues, or Belmont Street.
This year’s grand marshals are Travis and Nina Jensen. Travis Jensen
graduated from Boise State in 1994 and is the current president of the board
of directors of the Boise State Alumni Association.
Boise State’s Homecoming festivities culminate in Saturday’s game against
Bowling Green University. For a complete list of Homecoming events, as well
