Boise State's Rossi Recognized by the Army for his ROTC Work,
Support
A staff member of Boise State University’s Department of Military Science
was recognized by the U.S. Army with the top honor in his profession.

John Rossi, a human resources assistant in the military science
department, was named the Human Resource Assistant of the Year by the U.S.
Army Cadet Command, the highest level of command for the university’s ROTC
program. Rossi was selected over 300 of his peers nationwide.
Rossi received the Superior Civilian Service Award due to his professional
excellence and expertise in managing the records and tracking the training
progress of the Boise State ROTC’s 150 cadets. He serves as an administrator
for the ROTC programs at Idaho State University, Brigham Young University –
Idaho, Northwest Nazarene University and the College of Idaho, as well.
“Mr. Rossi is truly an asset to the Boise State University Army ROTC
program, our partnership schools and the U.S. Army Cadet Command,” wrote Lt.
Col. Phillip Chambers in his recommendation letter for the award. Chambers
is the department chair for the military science department. “His tireless
work ethic and dedication to ensuring the cadets and cadre are set up for
success is paramount to the success of this program.”
