Boise State Offers New Graduate Certificate in Workplace
E-Learning and Performance Support
Boise State University’s Department of Instructional and Performance
Technology (IPT) will offer a new graduate certificate in workplace
e-learning and performance support (WELPS) starting in the coming spring
semester.
The WELPS graduate certificate is designed for workplace learning and
performance improvement practitioners who want to develop skills in
developing, designing and managing e-learning and performance support
solutions in the workplace.
“We’re excited about this new certificate,” said Don Stepich, chair of the
IPT department in Boise State’s College of Engineering. “Our goal is to help
practitioners develop their professional skills and upon completing this
certificate they will be able to confidently and competently improve
workplace performance in measurable ways.”
The 15-credit program consists of e-learning and performance improvement
electives offered by the IPT department both on campus and online. The
certificate courses would also apply as electives if a student chooses to
pursue a master’s degree in IPT.
