Boise State Film and Video Festival Seeks Entries

The student-run Dead 8 Film and Video Club is seeking entries for the Boise State University Film Festival. The 2008 festival, which is a fundraiser for Treasure Valley Community Television, will be Feb. 9 at the Student Union Special Events Center.

Fiction and documentary entries will be accepted in the junior high, high school and college categories. Entry fees are $10 for junior high and high school students and $15 for college students. Entry forms may be picked up at the Boise State Department of Communication office or may be downloaded at www.tvctvonline.org. Entries will be judged by local media experts on the basis of concept, thematic development, production quality, and overall impact of entry. The deadline for entries is Jan. 7.

Now in its 13th year, the Boise State University Film Festival features an eclectic mix of films from members of the Boise State community. The sponsoring organization, Dead 8 Film and Video Club, gives students opportunities for hands-on video production.
