Boise State University Men's Ice Hockey Student Club to Play Two Games This Weekend

The first home games of the season for the Boise State University men’s ice hockey club will be at 10 p.m. Oct. 24 and 8:15 p.m. Oct. 25 at Idaho Ice World. The Boise State team will face off against the University of Montana hockey club.

The Boise State club began its second season of play with a road trip to Provo, Utah, last weekend. They are looking for their first win of the season against Montana, which is bringing a 2-2 record to Boise. The Boise State club’s next home games are against Walla Walla at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 1 and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at Idaho Ice World. In addition, the club is scheduling a number of home games at Manchester Ice Center in McCall in conjunction with the 2009 Winter Carnival.

The Boise State club, coached by L.B. Smith, play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 2. Their next road trip will take them to San Jose Nov. 6-8, where they will play clubs from San Jose State, Arizona State and the University of Texas at Logitech Ice Arena.
