News Release EVENT NEWS / October 31, 2008 Poet Tom Raworth to Appear Nov. 7 as Part of the Boise State University MFA Reading Series Poet Tom Raworth will give a reading at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Student Union Jordan C Ballroom on the Boise State campus as part of the MFA Reading Series. Raworth’s appearance is free and open to the public. Raworth was born and raised in London and spent time in the United States and Mexico before returning to England to be the resident poet at King’s College in Cambridge. He has published more than 40 books and works of poetry, prose and translations since 1966. He has collaborated and performed with musicians, painters and other poets during his long career. He also was the editor of “outburst,” “Before Your Very Eyes!” and “Infolio,” as well as the head of the small presses Matrix and Goliard. He has read his work throughout the world, and his “Collected Poems” were published in 2003. Free and open to the public, the MFA Reading Series brings nationally renowned authors and poets to the Boise State campus. Past speakers include Rick Bass, Chris Offutt, Rae Armantrout, Alice Notley, Michael Palmer, Joy Williams, Anthony Doerr, Denis Johnson, Richard Bausch and Nathaniel Mackey.
