The Boise State University Outdoor Program will present “Under the Influence,” a ski and snowboard film that highlights the extraordinary 2008 season. “Under the Influence” will have two showings on Nov. 19 in the Student Union Special Events Center.

Doors to the first screening will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m.; doors to the second screening open at 9 p.m. and the show begins at 9:15 p.m. Tickets are $8 with pre-purchase prior to Nov. 19 at the Outdoor Program office and $10 on the day of the show. The Outdoor Program office, located in the Student Recreation Center, is open Monday-Saturday from 1-7 p.m.

“Under the Influence” is produced by Teton Gravity Research and follows the world’s best skiers and snowboarders on an endless pursuit for deep powder lines in the Cascades, huge backcountry drops in the Tetons and steep, menacing lines in Romania. The Jackson Hole-based film crew scattered around the planet as they filmed virgin spines in Alaska, cowboy park jumps at Grand Targhee, pillow powder in the Northwest and steep terrain in Jackson Hole.
