Lisa Cochran, Executive Director of Taco Bell Arena

Cochran has been serving in the position on an interim basis, replacing former director Joyce Grimes who retired from Boise State earlier this year.

Cochran has worked in various capacities related to the operation of Taco Bell Arena since joining Boise State in 1997. She most recently managed the day-to-day operations of the arena as the general manager and has been directing marketing and booking efforts as the director of marketing since 2004. She managed the branding and unveiling efforts of Boise State’s Recreation Center in addition to managing sponsor partnerships for the arena from 2002-04.

Cochran has a strong background in sales, marketing and facility management. Before joining Boise State, she served as a market manager for Verizon Information Services, managing the product portfolio and all new product introductions. She also spent seven years managing fitness and recreational facilities for the Seattle Club.

Cochran has an MBA degree from Boise State and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Seattle Pacific University.

Taco Bell Arena can seat as many as 13,000 people and hosts major concerts, performance events, sporting events and more. In March 2009, it will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. It also has hosted the NCAA women’s gymnastics championships, and has been one of the sites of the NCAA women’s basketball Sweet 16.
