Bald Eagle Days Marks Its 10th Anniversary with a Public Celebration Jan. 31

Boise State University’s Idaho Bird Observatory will present the 10th annual Bald Eagle Days Jan. 29-31, with two days of educational activities for school kids (scheduled in advance) followed by a public celebration at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival facility within the scenic Barber Pool Conservation Area. The event is meant to raise awareness, appreciation and support for the Boise River, Barber Pool and the wildlife they sustain.

10th Annual Bald Eagle Days Public Celebration. Idaho Shakespeare Festival facility, 5657 Warm Springs Ave., Boise. 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. This free, family-oriented event includes a variety of activities designed to allow the public to get “up close and personal” with America’s national symbol. Participants can take part in wildlife viewing along the Boise River with Audubon Society volunteers, listen to informative presentations featuring bald eagles and other live birds of prey, participate in hands-on educational activities, and visit environmental booths hosted by local organizations.
