BOISE STATE STUDENTS EAT 10 TAQUITOS TO WIN CHICAGO TRIP FOR NATIONALS

Table manners will be nowhere in sight as 50 Boise State students gorge themselves on taquitos while vying for an all-expenses-paid trip to Chicago to compete in the national Taquito Eating Contest. The Boise State Taquito-Eating Contest will be at 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday,

April 26, on the Boise State Student Union patio. The two fastest taquito-eaters will win free transportation, meals, hotel service and pre-paid entrance into the national contest in Chicago.

Spectators are invited to cheer on the contestants and enjoy live music as competitors are timed chowing down 10 beef and chicken taquitos. There will be a medic on hand. �Bill� from �The Morning Show� at 100.3 �The X� will emcee. The contest is sponsored by Boise State Student Programs Board in conjunction with Ruiz Foods.

Aspiring taquito-eaters must pre-register although the competition is free. Applications are avaliable at the Student Activities desk in the Student Union. The deadline for returning applications to the Student Programs Board is April 24; contestants will be announced April 25. Competitors must be Boise State students. Every contestant will receive a T-shirt and a chance to win prizes.
