BOISE CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES PRESENTS AMADEUS TRIO CONCERT

The Amadeus Trio, an ensemble of accomplished musicians, will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, March 2, in the Morrison Center Recital Hall, as part of the Boise Chamber Music Series. The program will consist of standard works for piano trio by Haydn, Ravel and Brahms. The trio will also give a master class, "A Little Morning Music," at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, in the Recital Hall.

Described as "chamber music at its best" by the Washington Post, and "a world-class ensemble" by the Los Angeles Times, the Amadeus Trio features Marian Hahn piano; Timothy Baker, violin; and Jeffrey Solow, cello. The trio has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, and recently released a CD of works by Dvorak and Smetana on Helicon Records.

At the master class, the Amadeus Trio will coach Boise State chamber music ensembles. This educational event is free and open to the public. The master class and concerts of the Boise Chamber Music Series are sponsored by the Boise Chamber Music Society and the Boise State music department.

Tickets for the March 2 concert are $15 regular admission and $10 for students and seniors. For ticket availability or more information, please call Jeanne Belfy at 426-1216.
