BOISE MASTER CHORALE PRESENTS ‘LOVE IS A MANY-SPLENDORED THING’

The Boise Master Chorale will present its annual pops concert, "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing," at 7:30 p.m. on St. Valentine’s Day, Feb.14, in the Boise State University Special Events Center.

The concert will be an all-American tribute with music by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Stephen Sondheim, Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, Jerome Kern and other favorites. The Boise Master Chorale is directed by Boise State music professor James Jirak.

The 100-voice chorale will welcome as special guests the Capital Singers, from Capital High School, under the direction of Linda Schmidt. This is an acclaimed vocal jazz ensemble of 30 singers accompanied by piano, bass and drums. They have been selected to perform at numerous music educator conferences and have garnered top awards at festivals and competitions.
