BOISE STATE GRADUATE AND AUTHOR WILL SIGN CHILDREN’S BOOK
J. Lynett Gillette, a Boise State University geology graduate and award-winning author of the children’s book Dinosaur Ghosts: The Mystery of Coelophysis, will be signing books at the Boise State Bookstore from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Feb 15.
Gillette has spent more than a decade studying Coelophysis, one of the smallest and earliest dinosaurs ever discovered. In her book, she poses answers to the problem of how so many hundreds of predatory dinosaurs came to be buried together at a site that is now Northern New Mexico. Excavating and preparing the delicate bones for study, Gillette worked with other scientists to help understand one of the oldest dinosaur deposits in the world.
