THIRTEEN BOISE STATE STUDENTS EARN ENGINEERING CERTIFICATES
Six recent graduates and seven students from Boise State University’s College of Engineering were recently awarded certificates by Idaho’s Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors for passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
The graduates earned their degrees in May or December of 2000. Their hometown, major and current employer (if applicable) are:
Dean Bake, Parma, civil engineering, Record Steel Construction Inc.; Quincy Holton, Rupert, electrical engineering, Aatronics; Christopher Park, Idaho Falls, civil engineering, Forsgren Associates of Idaho Falls; Johnny Phuong Tran, Boise, electrical engineering; Allen Thompson, Vale, Ore., civil engineering; and Scott Wilson, Billings, Mont., electrical engineering, CTA Architects/Engineers.

The FE exam is written by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). The eight-hour test is designed to determine that those who pass it have obtained a broad understanding of engineering.
