BOISE CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY PRESENTS AUSTRIAN QUARTET FEB. 8
The internationally acclaimed Artis Quartet will perform the first concert of its 2001 American tour at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8 in the Morrison Center Recital Hall. The performance is presented by the Boise Chamber Music Society and the Boise State music department as part of the Boise Chamber Music Series.
Treasured in its native Austria, this string quartet is an audience favorite at the Salzburg, Vienna and Feldkirch festivals. The Artis Quartet, which has recorded exclusively for Sony Classical since 1990, has won major awards including the Grand Prix du Disque, the Diapason d’Or and the Prix Caecilia. These musicians have earned international acclaim from Buenos Aires to Bangkok for their distinctive performance style.
