ON-CAMPUS MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR McKINNON SCHEDULED FRIDAY AT 2

Boise State lost a well-respected and dedicated employee Jan. 14 when Dick McKinnon, director of Student Housing, passed away in a Boise hospital from complications from lung disease. He was 57. The university will hold a remembrance and celebration of McKinnon’s life at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, in the Jordan Ballroom.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the LDS church at 8620 Goddard, located near Capital High School.

McKinnon worked at BSU for more than 17 years. He is survived by his wife, Ellie, coordinator of BSU’s tutorial programs, and his children, Aaron, Mike, David and Kate.

Student Housing invites members of the BSU community to share in their memories and thoughts about Dick. These words will be gathered and placed in an album for his family. Submissions can be e-mailed to panderso@boisestate.edu or delivered to the Student Housing office.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Lung Association. Cards may be sent to the McKinnon home at 8295 Valley View Dr., Boise 83704.
