Boise State’s Office of Risk Management and Audit Services will sponsor the second annual Safety Awareness Day on Feb. 16 in The Pavilion.

The fair, which runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., will feature informational booths, vendor displays, games, workshops and safety equipment or vehicles from agencies such as Life Flight, the Boise Fire Department, Ada County Sheriff, the Boise Police Department, the U.S. Department of Labor, and Hazardous Materials Response. The day is geared toward adults and children from the Boise Sate community and the general public.

Workshop topics are designed to address all facets of safety, from safety at home to managing road rage. Topics include personal safety, workplace violence, family disaster plans, electrical hazards, use of chemical products and workplace ergonomics.

In addition, a mock emergency response training will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in The Pavilion Blue Room. The training involves tabletop exercises demonstrating Boise State’s Emergency Response Plan utilizing a realistic scenario.
