BOISE STATE HUNGER BANQUET PROVIDES A MOUTHFUL OF INFORMATION

The third annual Hunger Banquet will held 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Boise State University in the Student Union Jordan Ballroom. This event will be sponsored by the Boise State Volunteer Services Board.

The banquet will be based on a concept created by the hunger relief agency Oxfam International using powerful visual messages and testimonies to convey the reality of poverty. Presentations, speakers and surprises will be used as educational tools. Guests at the banquet will interact with presenters to explore current myths about hunger and homelessness, and local non profit agencies will present opportunities to become involved with combatting hunger.

People of all ages are welcome to attend. Tickets are available at the Boise State Information Desk in the Student Union Building. Prices are $4, or $2 with a donation of two cans of food. For further information, call 426-4240.
