BOISE STATE SPRING FLING ADDS EXTREME COMEDIAN AND ARTS TO LINEUP

Boise State Spring Fling has added body art, an extreme skateboarding demonstration and several other activities to the previously announced entertainment lineup for this fun-for-all ages celebration of spring, noon-6 p.m. Sunday, April 22, in Julia Davis Park. The event is free and open to everyone in the community. Some games and art activities will cost $1-$2. Proceeds will benefit the Boise Foothills Campaign.

Extreme comedian Chad Taylor, whose signature act is juggling chainsaws while skateboarding, will return as master of ceremonies. Taylor, from Venice Beach, Calif., will be on stage in the band shell from 1-1:30 p.m., 2:30-3 p.m. and 4-4:30 p.m. The following bands will also perform in the band shell: Fly2Void, 1:30-2:30 p.m.; Soul Purpose, 3-4 p.m.; and Built to Spill, 4:30-6 p.m.

A booth by Aarts (cq) Ceramics will have 100 pounds of clay — the kinds that sets in the sun --— and 500 ceramics for painting and decorating. Other art booths will include body and face art by Susan McNeely and abstracts by James Hacking.

Festival-goers can whirl upside-down or spar with friends at Spring Fling games, which will include sumo wrestling, trampoline dangle, bungee run, the orbiter and an obstacle course. TJ Yankee Dog, Jamba Juice, Zorba's and Meat & Taters will be the food vendors. The Record Exchange, The Ladybug and other retailers will also have booths.

Spring Fling is sponsored by the Boise State Student Programs Board. For more information, call 426-1223.
