BOISE COUNTY THROWDOWN RODEO FEATURES KAYAK FESTIVITIES
The second annual Boise County Throwdown freestyle whitewater kayak festival will feature kayak competitions, thrills for spectators and festivities for everyone, June 8-10 on the Payette River. Featured events will be the Night Disco Rodeo, the National Organization of Whitewater Rodeos (NOWR) freestyle competition, and a head-to-head extreme race on the upper five miles of the North Fork of the Payette.
Event organizers expect the festival to draw top-caliber national and world-class kayakers, making the competition an exciting show for spectators.
There will also be a silent auction and raffles of whitewater and outdoor equipment benefiting Idaho Rivers United and Boise State University Outdoor Center. The festival is sponsored by Yolo Spots, Idaho River Sports and several national whitewater and sports companies.
