VIDEO POETRY PROJECT DEBUTS AT FIRST THURSDAY

A video of a set of nine poems based on a two-year cycle of the seasons will debut Sept. 5 at Boise’s First Thursday arts celebration. The poems were written by Boise State University education professor James Armstrong and underscored by local musicians Ben Burdick and Jim Kloss as part of a project funded by the City Arts Commission. Filming was done by Peter Lutze, a Boise State communication professor.

Performances are slated for 7:35 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. at the Fronton Building on the Basque Block in downtown Boise.

The video will again be shown at the Boise Contemporary Theatre building, 854 Fulton, for Book Fest at 9:30 p.m. Sept. 14. A free live public performance will be held Sept. 29 at The Flicks.
