BOISE STATE MAKES ALTERNATE PARKING PLANS DUE TO OCT. 18 FOOTBALL GAME

Because of the Fresno State-Boise State football game at Bronco Stadium on Friday, Oct. 18, university officials have made alternate parking arrangements for that day.

With students, faculty and staff arriving on campus throughout the day and football fans also driving to the game for the 6 p.m. kickoff, officials expect parking to be at a premium.

To keep parking issues to a minimum, the university has developed the following plans:

bulletGeneral permit parking will not be available in the west stadium (Pavilion side) and Denver Avenue parking lots.
bulletThe east (Broadway Avenue) side of the stadium parking lot will be open for general permit parking until 1 p.m. All vehicles displaying general permits must be moved by 1 p.m. from the east side of the stadium lot.
bulletThe one-day policy will be enforced by University Parking Services, and vehicles that do not comply will be issued citations.
bulletAdditional General permit parking has been arranged at the following parking locations for Oct. 18 only:
bulletThe former Red Lobster parking lot at 1455 S. Capitol Boulevard
bulletThe University Courts Apartments complex located at Brady Street and University Drive.

Boise State’s shuttle bus route will be adjusted to include service to the former Red Lobster parking lot. Parking Services staff members will be stationed at both alternative parking sites to provide assistance.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to carpool, use the city bus system or employ other means of alternative transportation on that day.
