BEST OF BOISE SERIES CONTINUES WITH POETRY NIGHT

As part of the Best of Boise Series, Boise State University Student Programs Board presents Poetry Night. This event, scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 in the Jordan Ballroom, features a night of original spoken word performed by local established and up-and-coming poets accompanied by light jazz and blues. General admission is $2 and students, faculty and staff are free.

Local jazz and blues group Mr. Backhand will complement the reading by performing throughout the evening. In addition to the 10 featured readers there will be a sign up sheet at the door for those who would like to read. Readings are limited to 5 minutes. Featured readers include two English Graduate students, Matt Reitter and Mia Wright, and two poets with the Northwest Liberal Arts Association, Troy McKgee and Ryan Faye.
