BOISE STATE CULTURAL CENTER OFFERS STUDENT ORIENTATION

The Boise State University Cultural Center offers an ongoing orientation program to help minority students successfully complete their education. Orientation sessions are free and cover a variety of topics.

The next session will look at academic advising. It will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the Cultural Center, across University Drive from the Student Union in the Student Union Annex. Students can learn about:

bulletGeneral education requirements
bulletHow to choose a major and investigate careers
bulletHow to register online
bulletThe importance and role of an academic adviser
bulletHow to locate and utilize an academic adviser
bulletAvailable tutorial services

The next orientation, scheduled for Feb. 3, 2003, will cover financial aid issues. For more information, call the Cultural Center at 426-1449.
