FLUTE CONCERTS SCHEDULED ON BOISE STATE CAMPUS
FOR NOV. AND DEC.
Three concerts by area flutists, from middle school
students to seasoned professionals, will feature a variety of compositions and
ensembles.
Nov. 18 — 7 p.m. Hemingway Center. Professional
flutists from the Idaho Flute Society will present an evening of masterworks.
Performers will include Liana Tyson, Boise State University flute professor,
Francesca Arnone, acting principal flutist of the Boise Philharmonic, and other
area professionals. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and free to
students of all ages and Idaho Flute Society members.
Nov. 25 — 5:30 p.m. Hemingway Center. The
Boise State Flute Choir and flute chamber music ensembles will present a
concert. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and free to students of all
ages and Boise State faculty and staff.
Dec. 9 — 7 p.m. Hemingway Center. The
flute choirs of the Idaho Flute Society, comprised of middle school through high
school age flutists, will perform under the direction of Jennifer Rhees, Liana
Tyson, and Linda Yordy. Admission is free.
