"Mountain Seasons," a collaborative video, poetry and music presentation, explores the theme of nature’s roots in the imagination. This work, presented by the Video Poets, will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4 in the Boise State University Multipurpose Classroom Building, Room 106.

This presentation is the result of the integration of several art forms into a production organized around the four seasons. Each season has two poems dedicated to it, with a ninth poem added to unify the work. This piece was first performed at The Flicks on Sept. 29th.

The Video Poets are Peter Lutze, Jamie Armstrong, Ben Burdick and Jim Kloss. Lutze provides the videography for this presentation and teaches mass media, video production and film studies at Boise State. Armstrong teaches courses in reading education and reading and study strategies at Boise State and has two books of published poetry. Many of the poems featured in "Mountain Seasons" appear in his book "Landscapes of Epiphany." Burdick and Kloss provide the music for this presentation. Burdick has performed and recorded music for over 20 years and currently performs with local musician Rebecca Scott. Kloss is a pianist, trumpet player and composer with many years of performance experience.

"Mountain Seasons" was funded in part by a grant from the Boise City Arts Commission and Capital City Development Corporation.

This performance is free and open to all who wish to attend. It will last approximately 30 minutes.
