Two Boise State University professors will direct a free discussion and presentation on the life and work of noted Mexican artist Frida Kahlo following a Dec. 7 screening of the film "Frida" at The Flicks. The event follows the 12:30 p.m. matinee showing. The Flicks Theatre is at 646 Fulton St. in Boise. Cost for the matinee is $5.

Boise State’s Alicia Garza, modern languages, and Alma Gomez, art, will examine the artistic and personal passion that defined the artist, as well as her major work.
