"THEATRE IN CONSTRUCTION" CONSTRUCTED
BY BOISE STATE THEATRE MAJORS
Boise State theatre arts students have constructed three
nights of student produced entertainment and would like to invite the public to
attend. "Theatre in Construction" begins at 7:30 p.m. on Dec 4-7 at
the Morrison Center Stage II.
Six plays ranging from dramatic to comedic are on the
bill. Adam Harrold, a theatre arts writing major, has written two pieces,
"No Title Yet" and "Purgatory Life," that will be performed
each night. These two plays will also be adjudicated by the Kennedy Center
American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF), which means that they may be chosen
to enter a regional competition. KCACTF is the only national organization that
recognizes college productions and provides regional and national opportunities,
scholarships and opportunities for students.
"Theatre in Construction" is entirely directed,
performed and designed by theatre arts students and is presented by the Boise
State Theatre Majors Association. Tickets are available at the door. Wednesday,
Dec. 4 will be an open dress rehearsal with $2 tickets. Thursday through
Saturday, Dec. 5-7, prices are $5 for general admission or $4 with a can of food
for the Idaho Food Bank. For more information, call 426-3980.
