Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Boise State University Special Events Center. Tickets
are $10-$22 and available through Select-a-Seat outlets, 426-1494 or www.idahotickets.com.

Special Events Center.
Idaho Dance Theatre welcomes back Leah Stephens Clark to
premier a dance to the music of Badly Drawn Boy and Mark Mothersbaugh. The dance
movement is athletic and may seem more akin to skateboarding than ballet.
Also on the program:
*Yurek Hansen will debut his first work for the company, a
blend of mysterious and intriguing movement performed to original text and music
by Tool.
*Marla Hansen combines the power and elegance of ballet
with the exotic sensuality of belly dancing in "Garden of Souls." This
work is performed by the entire Idaho Dance Theatre company and features two
female dancers, Jennifer Freeman and Stephanie Mullen, performing stunning
leaps, turns and gymnastic moves to the music of VAS and vocalist Azam Ali.
*Carl Rowe’s piece, titled "Migration," is set
to the music of Mike Oldfield, and will feature the powerfully athletic dancing
brothers Yurek and Leif Hansen along with Thax von Reither. These three men will
electrify the stage in a dance demanding all of their considerable abilities.
*Rowe will also premier a new work set to the music of
Boise musician David Alan Earnest. The performance will blend tenor saxophone,
piano and several percussion instruments.
Guest Lighting Designer, Genny Wynn, will provide the
creative lighting and Guest Costume Designer, Anne Hoste, will delight the eyes
with stimulating design, texture and color.
The winter performance is sponsored by First American
Title, Home Federal and Maysco Dance Supply. For more information about the
performance call 331-9592.
