NOMINATE A BOISE STATE STUDENT TO PARTICIPATE IN
LEADERSHIP QUEST
Know a Boise State student whose skills and dedication
suggest leadership potential? Then nominate her or him to participate in the
annual Boise State Leadership Quest conference on Feb. 28. Nominations may be
submitted by anyone and are due Jan. 31. For a nomination card, contact the
Student Involvement Center at 426-1223. Every student nominated will be invited
to participate in the program.
Leadership Quest is a daylong series of workshops,
educational seminars and group discussions that introduces the emerging leaders
to concepts of leadership theory, furthers personal development and refines
organizational skills.
Emerging leaders do not have to be those who assume
traditional leadership roles, such as an organization officer; they need only to
have demonstrated leadership through their dedication to tasks, achievement of
goals and personal drive. Neither an individual’s age nor tenure in an
organization or department are factors in identifying a leader as emerging; it
is the display of a positive attitude and a high level of motivation.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Leadership Quest.
