Tonight Show to Feature Boise State Students

Producers from the Tonight Show with Jay Leno will be on the Boise State campus the morning of Thursday, May 2, to videotape the “Jaywalking” segment.

Boise State was chosen as the representative university from Idaho as part of the ongoing series that features colleges from across the country. The segment usually airs on Wednesdays or Thursdays.

Leno typically asks students questions via satellite hookup from the Burbank studio. But for the Boise State segment the format will be modified. Instead of answering questions, students are invited to showcase their talents, perform stunts or tell jokes. Tonight Show producers will select the most humorous to air during a 4-5 minute segment the following week.

The show will tape from 10 a.m.-noon at either the Student Union or the Quad. Producers will select the location after they arrive on Wednesday.

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno can be viewed on NBC week nights at 10:30 pm. MST.
