muMS—It's Poetry With A Point at Boise State May 3
Poetry addressing issues related to politics, poverty and race relations will be muM’s focus at 7 p.m. Friday, May 3, in the Special Events Center at Boise State University. Tickets are $6 general and $3.50 for students and Boise State faculty and staff and can be purchased through Select-a-Seat, 426-1494 or www.idahotickets.com.
muMs, one of the stars from HBO’s prison drama “OZ,” has been described as a hip-hop and spoken word artist. He has performed across the United States and Europe, on Lollapalooza tours and was part of the New York slam team that was the focus of Paul Devlin’s documentary film “Slamnation.” In 1999 muMs appeared in Martin Scorcese’s film “Bringing Out the Dead” and last year he was featured in Spike Lee’s film “Bamboozled.”
