The Idaho Classical Guitar Society and the Boise State Guitar Society will present renowned classical guitarist David Burgess in concert at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 9, in the Morrison Center Recital Hall. Burgess will also give a free master class at 12:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall.

Burgess has received international acclaim. In 1984 he won first prize in the premiere Andres Segovia Fellowship Competition. He then studied with the legendary Spanish maestro for three years. Burgess has performed at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, the Kennedy Center and numerous concert halls throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia.

"The breath of his imagination is unmatched, his style is flashy, crisp, exciting and incendiary," wrote a reviewer for CD Now magazine.

Tickets are $10 general admission and $5 for students and seniors, available at the Boise State music department, 426-1596; Old Boise Guitar, 515 West Main St.; from David Boehlke at 334-0258; and at the door.
