“POISON” EXPLORES RANGE OF HUMAN EMOTIONS

Desire, desperation, addiction and acceptance are just a few of the issues that will be probed in “Poison,” a theatrical production by Boise State University Theater Majors Association, at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 27-March 2, at the Morrison Center Stage II. There will also be a matinee presentation at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 3.

“Poison,” written by Jason Haskins and directed by Lisa Hyslop, both Boise State alumni, follows the lives of an eclectic cast of characters as they converse, create a sanctuary and cycle through a range of emotions — all at Jimmy “Pops” Martin’s bar. One of the regulars at the bar, Aaron, reappears after three years without word. Upon his return, Aaron reveals the mystery behind his departure, forcing the rest of the characters to examine their own lives.

Tickets for the production are $5 at the door. For more information call 426-3980.
