BOISE STATE HOSTS ANNUAL UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH CONFERENCE
Thirty-two undergraduate student and team researchers will present their findings on topics as diverse as the social consequences of domestic abuse, women smokejumpers and how thoughts about death affect male sexual promiscuity.
The second annual College of Social Science and Public Affairs Research Conference will be held from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the Student Union Hatch Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served. Parking is available in the visitor lot behind the Student Union.
The research conference will focus on the social and public issues studied by undergraduates during their semester-long research. The event provides an opportunity to showcase their findings. An on-campus committee will select the top presentations to advance to a national conference in Whitewater, Wis.
The College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs is one of eight colleges at Boise State and includes the following departments: anthropology, communication, criminal justice, history, military science, political science, psychology, public policy and administration, social work and sociology.
