Idaho Dance Theatre Announces 2002-03 Performance Schedule
Idaho Dance Theatre (IDT) embarks on its 14th season this October, performing original, contemporary choreography at Boise State University’s Special Events Center.
October 18 and 19, the professional troupe will perform “Turn It Up,” a lively collaboration of new choreography from founding artistic directors, Marla Hansen and Carl Rowe, and senior IDT member Thax von Reither, set to the pulsating music of rock group Queen. The show will also feature live music from guest pianist Del Parkinson.
January 17 and 18, IDT will premiere original choreography from Balance director, Leah Stephens Clark, and Marla Hansen and Carl Rowe once again in their presentation of “Hot Blooded.” Guest composer David Alan Earnest will perform original music, commissioned by IDT for this production.
April 25 and 26, IDT concludes its season with “Fast Forward,” a program featuring the creations of several guest artists and a premiere dance performance of Carl Rowe’s interpretation of Zap Mama’s music.
Evening performances are scheduled for 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and matinees are at 2 p.m., Saturday. For individual or season tickets, call 331-9592.
