SIGN UP NOW FOR POETRY SLAM CONTEST AT BOISE STATE FEBRUARY 21

Expect originality, creativity and energy at Boise State University�s first Poetry Slam at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Special Events Center. Boise State University students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to enter the contest, however, cash prizes will be awarded only to Boise State students who pay student fees.

Contestants may sign up in the Student Union at the Student Activities desk, the Information Desk or the Bookstore. Registration is free and ongoing through Feb. 21 at 6:45 p.m. Contestants will prepare a presentation of one to three minutes of original spoken words. Cash prizes for students are $150 first place, $100 second place and $50 third place. Five judges will be randomly selected from the audience.

Admission to the event is free. Poetry Slam is sponsored by Boise State Student Union and Activities. For more information call 426-1223.
