Live Music, Summer Fun Continues at Boise State's Noon Tunes in July

Live music, free food and summer fun continue through July at Boise State University’s Noon Tunes from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. every Wednesday at the Student Union North Patio.

Noon Tunes festivities are free and open to everyone. Free snacks will be provided on the patio. People are also welcome to bring sack lunches or buy food at the Student Union. Free parking will be available in the Student Union Visitor’s Lot. The Noon Tunes series is presented by Boise State Student Union and Activities.

The July line-up includes the following bands:

July 3 — The Drum Central Community Ensemble. This five-member world percussion group creates sounds from instruments such as African drums and a didgeridoo, the first wind instrument from Australia.

July 10 — Gayle Chapman and Rico Weisman. Join this acoustic guitar duo for an assortment of familiar and original songs. Chapman’s powerful lyrics and distinctive voice have made this singer, songwriter and vocal coach a local favorite. Weisman has performed with some of Boise’s top musicians and brings an eclectic contrast to Chapman’s style.

July 17 — Suns of the Beach. Relax and reminisce while this band belts out tunes from the Beach Boys.

July 24 — Muzzie Braun. Entertaining audiences for over 25 years, Muzzie’s music has been described as “heart rendering and humorous.”

July 31 — Night Train featuring Harpo and Danny Boy. Influenced by the great players from the Delta, this duo has been making music for over 10 years. Join Harpo on the harmonica and Danny Boy on the guitar for some country blues.
