Collaboration with guest artists cap Idaho Dance Theatre’s season in “Simply Sensational” at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Morrison Center Main Hall.

“Simply Sensational” brings intriguing elements of dance, theatre and surrealism to the stage. The performance will feature Carl Rowe’s popular piece “Vespers,” which will include seven sections of the choral music with live performances by Boise Master Chorale, conducted by James Jirak. Rowe will also premier a work set to excerpts of music from the soundtrack of “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.”

The performance will also include the imaginative choreography of senior company member Thax von Reither. Set to the music of Irish vocalist Kate Bush, the post-modern piece entitled “Letting Go” features five women and three men dancing with various inanimate objects, such as ropes, body harnesses and flags.

A new work choreographed by co-artistic director Marla Hansen will feature the entire company dancing to the cello music of Hansen’s song, “Apocalyptica.”

Ticket prices range from $10-22 and can be purchased through Select-a-Seat, 426-1110 or www.idahotickets.com. For more information call 331-9592.
